EXECUTIVE COACHING

Activate Potential executive coaching supports both new and seasoned executives who know that in order to respond effectively to increasingly complex situations and objectives they need to grow their leadership skills. In some cases we focus on changing specific behaviors that are causing unwanted results. In others the work is more developmental than corrective.

Optimistic and results-oriented, Activate Potential coaching is a powerful service to improve how you lead others to achieve shared, organizational goals.

Participant Focus and Results

AP executive coaching is results-oriented. Work at this level focuses on:

  • enhancing your understanding of what others need from you and how it differs from what they are getting,
  • adding new skills to meet those needs,
  • enhancing already effective leader behaviors and,
  • eliminating ineffective behaviors,
  • letting those you lead evaluate your progress and success (leadership effectiveness can only be measured and determined by the people being led)

—all for one purpose: to achieve organizational results.

 

At some point in a leader's career, it becomes apparent, either because they came to the awareness on their own or someone told them, that what got them to where they are will not get them where they want to go. Some crucial leader behaviors must change. When they are highly committed to making the necessary improvements, they become Activate Potential clients.

Meetings are held in a combined in-person and conference call format, depending on location and schedule demands.

Our results-oriented framework includes:

  • Information obtained directly from the people you lead and other important stakeholders via both interviews and direct observation,
  • DISC-based personality assessments
  • Leadership style assessments
  • Exploring insights from best practices and academic research,
  • Developing new knowledge about leadership generally, and a deep understanding of the new behaviors others are asking of you,
  • Deliberate practice. Behavior change is not merely an intellectual event—adult learning takes time and continued practice,
  • Creating a clear definition of success so stakeholder needs are not only identified and met. Your changes have to be obvious to them. They must recognize that you have changed.

DISCOVERING SELF AND OTHERS™

These programs use the Blanchard Training and Development "DISCovering Self and Others" and Situational Leadership II copyrighted materials.

Who should attend

  • Ideal for departments and teams that need to work better together, with more trust and collaboration.

Format

  • Interactive and Highly Engaging, this skills workshop helps employees understand how they and their teammates prefer to act under normal circumstances and under stress so they can work better together, with less conflict and more collaboration.
  • Participants learn how to choose less-self-centered and more collaborative (and effective ways of working and communicating.

              The results can be improved communication

              and productivity.

  • Imagine...no more "hey that's just the way I am, deal with it" behavior.

Sustainability

  • Individual and team/group coaching is available to help reinforce the new knowledge and help employees sustain a positive change in behavior.

SITUATIONAL LEADERSHIP II

Situational leadership is about developing people and talent. It is the most comprehensive model and set of skills for increasing your versatility and leadership flexibility so you can respond to follower needs with the appropriate amount and kind of direction and support.

Who Should Attend?

  • Managers and Executives at all levels in the organization. Individuals who need to more effectively respond to follower needs.

Participants Learn To

  • Quickly diagnose what an employee needs and respond with the appropriate leadership style, using the right kind and amount of support and direction
  • Understand that leadership effectiveness can only be determined by the people being led. Leaders cannot say their are effective; only their people can determine that
  • Match the right leadership style to the situation at hand, instead of the old way of using a one-size-fits-all approach
  • Respond in ways that help the employee improve their competence and commitment to the goal
  • Develop their people to be self-motivated, self-directed, self-reliant achievers.

Sustainability

  • One-on-One executive coaching can be used to sustain the learning and development effort. Research clearly shows that reinforcement is a crucial step in creating sustained new results. Private and group coaching can be structured to help you and your team accelerate their progress.
