As a leader, how attractive are you? Are you followed eagerly or begrudgingly? Do your followers respect you as much as you want? Do they believe what you believe? Do you know what they believe? The amount and types of resistance you get answers these questions.

Here's an EXERCISE to tweak your thinking.

You’re looking for assistance with something. What is it? Take a minute to write it down.

Next, write down the ten most important things you need to do or get or find out to accomplish the goal.

Now, put a star next to the action items that relate to things you need to get from other people. Put a square next to the things you need to get other people to do.

Circle the ones that relate to changes you need to make to your thinking, attitude and approach to others.

How many circles did you make?

In all the times I’ve led people through this exercise, less than 20% of participants list the need to change how they approach others, make requests, motivate and manage people. They seldom evaluate their need to be authentic and inner-personally powerful, as I call it, for the good of the entire organization.

Attraction is about magnetism. It’s about creating the conditions wherein people enthusiastically want to participate in our projects and eagerly refer business to us and BE OUR CLIENTS! How does one become a magnet? By substantially upgrading how the one shows up in the everyday world. By radically and permanently improving one's Integrity Index and by being uncommonly generous.

Attraction is about radiating into the world a vibe that says, “I’m here to serve.” It is about aligning actions with inspired words and speaking only the very best that can be spoken.

Attraction is about being so magnificent and powerful that people are drawn to you. It’s about a new level of leadership. It's about a better way of selling.
